The Sun 300-1622 (also known as 1629W 200V Power Supply) is a high-capacity AC power supply unit (PSU) designed specifically for the Sun Fire V890 server (and some compatible Sun/Oracle SPARC systems).

This is a hot-swappable, redundant-capable power supply that delivers 1629W maximum output power. It is optimized for the Sun Fire V890, a high-end 8-way SPARC V890 server from the early 2000s, which required significant power to support up to 8 UltraSPARC III/IV CPUs, large memory configurations, multiple I/O cards, and internal storage.

The PSU accepts 200-240V AC input (high-voltage range) and provides multiple regulated DC rails to the server chassis. In the V890, the system typically uses 2 or 3 PSUs in a redundant (N+1) configuration for high availability — allowing live replacement of a failed unit without shutting down the server.
