The Pure Storage FlashArray//M20 (model FA-M20) is a compact 3U all-flash enterprise storage array designed for high performance, simplicity, and data reduction. It features a 20-bay 2.5-inch SFF drive chassis and delivers consistent low-latency performance with Purity Operating Environment software.

The //M20 is the entry-level model in the FlashArray//M series (launched around 2015). It uses a modular, stateless architecture with dual active-active controllers, NV-RAM for write protection, and DirectFlash modules (custom flash packs containing two SSDs each). With Purity software, it provides inline deduplication, compression, thin provisioning, and always-on encryption, achieving 5-10x effective capacity. It is ideal for consolidating databases, VDI, virtualization, and business-critical applications in a small footprint.
