The Dell GP6RN (PERC H740P) is a high-performance 12 Gbps SAS RAID controller in Mini Mono (internal) form factor. It is designed for Dell PowerEdge 14G servers and provides advanced RAID functionality with a large 8GB cache and Flash Backed Write Cache (FBWC) for data protection.

The PERC H740P is one of Dell’s most popular RAID controllers for the 14th generation PowerEdge servers. It offers excellent performance for SAS/SATA HDDs and SSDs, supports hardware RAID levels, and includes intelligent cache management. The 8GB DDR4 cache with supercapacitor-based Flash Backed Write Cache protects data during power loss. It is ideal for virtualization, databases, and high-I/O workloads where reliability and speed are critical.
