The Cisco 03-25641-0600 (also known as UCSB-MRAID12G, UCS VIC 1340 + RAID controller bundle, or FlexStorage 12Gbps SAS RAID Storage Controller) is a modular RAID storage controller designed specifically for Cisco UCS B-Series Blade Servers (particularly B200 M3/M4/M5 generations) and some C-Series rack servers with modular LOM (LAN on Motherboard) and storage options.

This is not a standalone PCIe card but a mezzanine-style FlexStorage module that combines:

  • Cisco VIC 1340 (Virtual Interface Card) – dual-port 10GbE + storage connectivity
  • LSI SAS 3008/3108-based RAID controller – 12 Gbps SAS-3 with hardware RAID support

It installs into the dedicated mezzanine slot on UCS B200 blade servers (or equivalent C-Series modular slot), providing:

  • Dual-port 10GbE networking (via VIC 1340) for high-bandwidth fabric interconnect
  • 12 Gbps SAS RAID with up to 8 internal SAS/SATA drive ports (supports RAID 0/1/5/6/10/50/60)
  • Integrated supercapacitor cache (no battery) for write-back caching during power loss
  • Full Cisco UCS integration with UCS Manager (service profiles, firmware updates, monitoring)

The controller supports MegaRAID firmware from Broadcom/LSI, with Dell EMC UCS branding and validation for seamless UCS blade operation. It was a very common configuration in UCS B200 M4/M5 blades for servers needing both high-speed networking and hardware RAID for internal drives without using a full PCIe slot.
